What happens if you press “Only essential”
Then no cookie is written to your browser — not even one to remember the refusal. Your choice is stored in the browser's local storage, which never travels to the server with any request.
If a cookie already existed, it is deleted at the moment you decline, except the login session, without which a signed-in organiser would be thrown out.
What we do not use
- Google Analytics or any other web statistics service
- Meta, Google Ads or other advertising pixels
- third-party tracking cookies
- profiling or recognising visitors across sites
Local storage
Local storage is not a cookie: it never travels to the server and is not readable by other sites. We use it in two cases.
- pk-consent — your answer to this question, with a date.
- Offline scanning — when an organiser downloads an event's ticket list to a device, it is kept in local storage so entry can be checked without internet. The list is removed when the organiser deletes it from the device.
Maps and images
If an event page shows a map, the map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap. That sets no cookie, but the server sees your IP address at that moment. Everything else — images, icons, fonts — comes from our own server.
